It manages the mining site of the Czechoslovak Army (ČSA), including a homogenizing crushing plant and the Komořany Coal Processing Plant. The quarry houses the highest quality brown coal in the Czech Republic with reserves for up to 100 years. However, its mining is limited by the Government Resolution of 1991 on territorial mining limits. Coal mining in this area will therefore probably be terminated in 2024.
